Yu Garden (Yu Yuan)

One of China's most famous gardens, Yu Garden is known for its exquisite beauty and magnificent halls. In 1997, the garden was recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site for 400-plus years of history and its artfully crafted classical garden landscapes.

Shanghai Old City

Shanghai's Old City is a charming mixture of the new and old, truly exemplifying the dichotomy of modern-day Shanghai. Buildings feature refurbished traditional facades.

Shanghai Museum

Housing some 120,000 precious relics, including bronzes, pottery, paintings and calligraphy, the Shanghai Museum is a treasure house of ancient Chinese art. The museum is designed to resemble a large bronze mirror from the Han Dynasty (206-220 BC) when viewed from above and an ancient bronze cooking vessel called a ding from ground level.

Shanghai Arts and Crafts Museum

From embroidered goods to porcelain wares, the Shanghai Arts and Crafts Museum houses some of the cities most interesting crafted products. Located in a Mansion in the French Concession, the museum offers visitors a closer look inside Shanghai's traditional arts.

6:30 p.m. Resume tour

Former French Concession & Xintiandi

Enjoy a stroll through one of Shanghai's most notorious and architecturally unique neighborhoods, the French Concession. Made famous during the Nationalist era of 1920s and '30s, the concession's winding streets, villa residences and Deco facades continue to intrigue. Afterward, proceed to Xintiandi, a trendy land, lined with bars, restaurants and world-class shops and boutiques, housed in renovated traditional Shanghai-style lane houses (shikumen) featuring a unique blend of European and Chinese design.

7:30-8:10 p.m. Huangpu River Cruise

Board a cruise-liner a sail the seas of the Huangpu River, where you can get up close and personal with Shanghai's rich architectural history. To the west will be a classic view of the Bund's Art-Deco structures while to the east you will observe Shanghai's imposing, 21st-century Pudong skyline. Port. Starboard. Amazing

8:30-9:30 p.m. Return to hotel

Important notes

  • 1.  Upon placing your order, you will be sent an automatic email confirming receipt of your order. Once payment has cleared, Ctrip will
         send you a second email confirming payment and the itinerary for your package tour. If your credit card payment does not clear, your
          booking will be automatically cancelled.
  • 2.  Tour pick-up time is around 1:00-2:00 P.M.. Itinerary time arrangements may be adjusted by your guide depending on local conditions
         (e.g. weather, transportation and so on).
  • 3.  We will contact you one day prior to your depature date and leave a message with hotel reception if we cannot reach you.
  • 4.  We provide free pickup from and dropoff to selected hotels for this tour. Please check this list for major hotels with this service. Even if
         your hotel isn’t on the list we may be able to provide this service; we will check during the confirmation process. If it is not possible to
         provide this service, we will provide you with details on how to get to the nearest pickup/drop-off location. If you would like us to order a
         car service to bring you to the location and return you to the hotel, please let us know in advance and be prepared to pay for the car
         service onsite.
  • 5.  Types of meals (Chinese, Western, etc.) may vary depending on group requirements and availability of appropriate restaurants.
         Please inform us ahead of time if you have any dietary restrictions (allergies, vegetarian only, etc.).
  • 6.  If you opt to join only part of this tour, you forfeit the right to join subsequent parts of the tour as well as the right to receive a refund for
         any part of the tour that you miss.
  • 7.  This tour provides Personal Standard Tourist Accidental Insurance (individual accident insurance) for each full-price passenger with
         accumulated coverage of up to RMB 1 million (underwritten by PICC).
